Introduction of Weekly News Tasters

The Weekly News Taster was designed to give visitors to the website a flavour of what is in our Talking Newspapers.  The News Tasters have 5-9 items of news from the New Forest area  (8-12 tracks in all),  from the current edition of the Talking Newspaper,, lasting approximately 15-20 minutes. The first News Taster was introduced on Saturday 2 April 2016.

The current edition may be heard by clicking on News Taster in the Menu.

Advertisements in the A & T

The New Milton Advertiser & Lymington Times (the A & T) were kind enough to offer us a free advertisement if there was the occasional quiet week.

The first quarter-page advert was published in the A & T on Saturday 2 April 2016. Such a large advertisement gave us the opportunity to include a section on volunteering and resulted in an immediate enquiry.

The second advert was aimed at attracting new listeners.

We are very grateful to the A & T.

Talking Newspaper on Hospital Radio

Since Saturday 2 April 2016, the Talking Newspaper has been broadcast on New Forest Hospital Radio in Lymington every Saturday at 11 a.m. This will increase awareness of the availability of the Talking Newspaper.

We are very grateful to the Hospital Radio for agreeing to this.
